Recorded on a single morning at Brighton Beach, we look on in horror as members of the Brighton Swimming Club casually take to the icy November waters, swim to the end of the pier, and return to the beach for a warming glass of Robinson's fruit cordial.
All dialogue was recorded on location, outside in very windy conditions. We worked closely with the crew to carefully position the talent and the microphones, to baffle off the subject, reject and divert the wind, and shield the delicate mics from the gale force wind. We also picked up specific ambient sounds like the waves and seagulls, to build a controlled yet authentic bed of sound design in the comfort and warmth of the studio!
